Sorry I haven’t been around in a while. We’ve been working on tons of new projects and just staying busy in general. Anyway here is a plugin that can be very valuable to your business.
This is a plugin that will help you use Prosper202 and/or Tracking202 with WordPress without having to edit any WordPress files. It’s extremely easy to use.
== Installation ==
1. Upload `prosper202-tracking.php` to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
== Useage ==
1. Under Tools look for Prosper Tracking Settings
2. Under Account – Name put something descriptive for example the page name or the campaign name for that page
3. Under Pages IDs put the page ID for each page that you want tracked. To find page IDs go to Pages or Posts and then click Edit.
Mouse over the page you want to track and you will get results like example: https://customrequest.com/wp-admin/page.php?action=edit&post=172.
172 will be your page ID for this example.
4. Insert Tracking Domain URL from Prosper202 or Tracking 202.
Do we still need to add the php files to the site?
Thanks
Matt
No all you have to do is upload the plugin and specify in the Admin panel the pages you want to track.
I tried this and it’s not working. I’m trying to get my 9th post to track. I put in my URL, I put ID # 9 in, but its not working…
Are you logging in to your Tracking202 install to check the stats? Are you sending traffic to the page?
LOL of course… was that a serious question?
I installed the plugin. I activated it, went into the settings, added my LP tracking link I generated in T202. I then added the post I wanted to track which is 9. Nothing. No signs of clicks at all.
Why did you delete my questions and follow-up?
Nothing was deleted. All posts are moderated before going live.
Are you using Tracking202’s site or a Prosper202 install on your server? Are you using a Simple Landing Page, Advanced Landing Page? Are you using the Inbound Landing Page code to get your URL? What does your URL look like? Did you make sure not to include the Javascript part?
I want to be sure I understand this.
This applies to the “Inbound Javascript Landing Page Code”. Is that right
This is only for placement of the Javascript and this actually replaces the Javascript….is that right?
We do NOT use the Javascript, we only use the URL in the Javascript. Is that right?
Thanks
That’s correct you only need to pull the URL out of the Javascript, and this replaces it.
Thanks David……I’ll give it a go.
I`ve the same problem: Sites are not tracked!
I`ve inserted the inbound html from prosper202.
but this domain looks like
http://myloveddomain.de/tracking202/static/landing.php?lpip=4346
it doesn`t look like:
http://static.tracking202.com/lp/1234567/landing.js
maybe that is the probem??
Does this work only on tracking202? I thought it would work at prosper202 either, but it doesn`t
It’s possible. Most of the testing was done with tracking202.com as opposed to the installed version. Another thing is it seems that there is a delay at first for the tracking to work. For example if you just install this and start sending traffic you don’t instantly get the results, some times it takes a few hours for the stats to update.
Great plugin, but it only works for “pages”. It doesn’t work for “posts”.
Does this only works if you use WordPress to create separate, one-off landing PAGES, not a landing SITE? i.e. the user comes in, visits the one page, and leaves to an external offer?
I have a site with multiple pages where people come in through different pages that are optimized to /promoted by different keywords and they browse around before they leave to an offer. Another JS firing on a 2nd page would overwrite the first one and break tracking, right?
It’s really only been tested on separate pages. It’s worked on posts, but I don’t think it works if more than one post has the code in it. As far as your question I’m not really sure. You’d have to test the script and see what would happen.
thanks for plugin works perfect
Here’s a change that will allow both pages and posts to be tracked and also include the random number generate which Prosper202 uses in step #6 to match inbound and outbound traffic scripts, keeping the same SUBID for the same visitor:
In the function ‘function track_prosper()’ change this:
if(is_page($page_id))
{
echo 'trackUrl.'" type="text/javascript">';
}
to this:
if(is_page($page_id))
{
$cbr202 = rand(1,10000000000000000);
echo 'trackUrl.'&202cb='.$cbr202.'" type="text/javascript">';
}
if(is_single($page_id))
{
$cbr202 = rand(1,10000000000000000);
echo 'trackUrl.'&202cb='.$cbr202.'" type="text/javascript">';
}
@ MrCompTech
I was attempting to implement your code but am stuck with a parse error:
PHP Syntax Check: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ‘,’ or ‘;’ in your code on line 61
It seems it will work this way. Inbound clicks show up in P202 but whether it works as intended will take some testing.
if(is_page($page_id))
{
$cbr202 = rand(1,10000000000000000);
echo ‘trackUrl, 1), ‘&202cb=’, $cbr202, ‘” type=”text/javascript”>’;
}
if(is_single($page_id))
{
$cbr202 = rand(1,10000000000000000);
echo ‘trackUrl, 1), ‘&202cb=’, $cbr202, ‘” type=”text/javascript”>’;
}
hopefully this will show all the code:
if(is_page($page_id))
{
$cbr202 = rand(1,10000000000000000);
echo 'trackUrl, 1), '&202cb=', $cbr202, '" type="text/javascript">';
}
if(is_single($page_id))
{
$cbr202 = rand(1,10000000000000000);
echo 'trackUrl, 1), '&202cb=', $cbr202, '" type="text/javascript">';
}

It took awhile like you said for the tracking information to start coming in, but it has. I guess I got the url info correct.
Thanks,
